Recently my season has changed from a season of focusing on waiting on the Lord to a season of focusing on worship. Worship has been something I haven’t really spent a lot of time engaging. Generally 1-2 hours has been my longest duration and would worship 2-3 times a month. I am currently on day 10, spending 6+ hours at a time worshipping YHVH with out any breaks.

I am learning that spending time in God's presence has a profound effect on our lives. It is during these moments of spending uninterrupted time in His presence that the light of God shines upon us, revealing any darkness that may be lurking within us. Darkness cannot withstand the presence of light, and as we draw near to God, any ungodly thoughts, personality traits, desires and distractions are brought to the surface for us to confront and deal with. In the midst of worship, it is crucial to persevere and continue regardless of the thoughts or distractions that may arise.

Even if our minds wander towards ungodly things, we must not allow ourselves to be discouraged or deterred. Instead, we should recognize these thoughts as our corruption being revealed by the light. One day I was worshipping and for 8 hours I was unable to focus on YHVH as my past was constantly rising up in my mind. From knowing the purging process and how Holy Spirit speaks I knew to write everything down, so that I could deal with it all later. I persevered and completed my worship, as hard as it was, I knew a lot of my old corruption had surfaced and I was going to be able to grow from this experience. It’s important to continue in what ever we are engaging in the spirit as Gods presence is able to change us.

The longer we can dwell in his presence the more saturated our spirit and being can become. Being changed into his likeness from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord". So, let us remember the importance of persevering in worship, even when ungodly thoughts try to invade our minds. Let us embrace these moments as opportunities for growth and allow God's light to shine upon the darkness within us. Through worship, we can experience the freedom and healing that comes from being in God's presence. As I continue in this season of worship I will continue to update my experiences. Thank you God bless.
